DeLand, FL (June 18, 2026) — The West Volusia Branch of the NAACP is proud to announce its first-ever Education Expo, sponsored by AdventHealth, taking place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Chisholm Center, 520 S. Clara Avenue, DeLand, Florida.
This free community event is open to all parents and students within the Volusia County School District and is designed to provide families in West Volusia with valuable resources, educational support, and school supplies as they prepare for the upcoming academic year.
Unlike traditional back-to-school events that focus solely on backpack giveaways, the Education Expo offers a more comprehensive experience. Attendees will enjoy refreshments, participate in a mini workshop designed to empower parents and support student success, connect with community organizations, and receive free school supplies while supplies last.
As the presenting sponsor, AdventHealth will be on-site sharing health and wellness resources for families. Representatives from the Volusia County School Board and other community partners will also be available to provide information and answer questions about educational opportunities and services available throughout the district.

Educational equity remains a cornerstone of the NAACP’s mission. Access to quality schools, effective instruction, and essential learning materials are critical components of student success. By bringing together educators, community leaders, service providers, and families, the Education Expo seeks to help bridge resource gaps and strengthen support systems for students across West Volusia.
