Last weekend, I was privileged to represent the West Volusia NAACP at the Florida State Conference Spring Meeting in Orlando. It was a weekend filled with inspiration, learning, and powerful connections, and I’m excited to share some of the highlights with our members and community.
First, I’m humbled and honored to announce that I was elected as the new Secretary for our branch. This opportunity is a personal milestone and a responsibility I hold with deep gratitude and determination. As we continue to advocate for equity and justice, I am eager to contribute in a meaningful way and help our branch thrive.
The conference was an incredible opportunity to connect with leaders and members from across the state. Being surrounded by so many passionate individuals, all working toward a common goal, reminded me of the strength and unity within our organization. From dynamic keynote speakers to insightful breakout sessions, every moment provided valuable lessons and renewed my commitment to the work we do.
I did everything I could to soak up all the knowledge shared by presenters and attendees alike. Their stories, strategies, and dedication were truly inspiring, and I left feeling better prepared to serve our members and engage our community in impactful ways.
As we move ahead, I am excited to put what I’ve learned into action. Our mission is clear, and with the support of our members and the guidance of those who have paved the way before us, I’m confident we will continue to create positive change in West Volusia and beyond.
Thank you to everyone who made this conference such a meaningful experience. I look forward to working alongside each of you as we stand united and move forward together.
